Well, you've most probably noticed already, that the index/news page doesn't load all news-posts anymore, but gives the user the power to select just a part of it. This reduces the size (and thus the loading time) of this page monstrously :)
However, the "Recently changed"-box is bad as ever: These pages are actually loaded. Completely. I'll have to figure out, how to change that.
By the way, this site is completely php by now. Every page, as the navigation bar, is created from database-entries every time a page is queried. And yes, I am quite proud of this ;)

Have you heard of "Art Lebedev"? No? You're sure? Remember that insanely awesome keyboard that had little displays instead of regular buttons? That's from them (and they haven't stopped developing there!). Actually, that's one of their sane ideas. I mean, what's in their vodka to come up with something like this:

Seriously, this company is definitely on my top-four list of employers!!
In other news: As the WTF of the day, I recommend today: Office Space. It's Dilbert times 1000 as a movie. This flic is unbelievably absurd ... and most probably not that far from reality.
Oh, and DrCox is in it, too =)

Wheeeee, we have a pet =)
She is a girl bug. And her name is bughira. She's a little hard to walk, but playing catch with her is just adorable. No other bug looks so excited when you throw a stick for it!
... well, as said, back to goofy.

This little fun-page becomes a little political today. I never intended to do that, but this topic really bothers me.
Image from AK Vorrat (thx!)
This poster is targeted at German audiences, but the problem is global. Terrorists scare people - that's what the term "terror" means. I don't say you shouldn't be scared, but the chance that you are going to be harmed during an act of terrorism is almost negative - at least in most western countries in the world ... so, I take it back: I do say, that you shouldn't be scared. But actually, I don't care much ;)
However, our politicians are scared, too. And their fear makes them see terrorists everywhere. And here it gets dangerous. The politicians, and thus: the state, don't trust the civilians anymore and perhaps never did. So, the state begins to protect itself against the people! That's what current security-laws do: They make sure, that citizens obey they law. You would anyways, but now you are forced. How could you be upright and honest, when any misstep causes immediate punishment? You can't. Thus, spying and control take the place of moral values. When that happens, when you're only "good", because there is no other way and not because you want to, the system will fail: No tyranny can persist very long. But it's not going to be pretty.
Oh, and the terrorists? They are not threatened by the new laws. It's still easy enough to hide communication, if you really want to. And of what use are detailed email and online information or surveillance footage after a suicide-bombing? It seems sometimes to me as if terrorism is the biggest ally of power hungry politicians, like Schäuble in Germany.
What can we do? Fight against immoderate security-laws with your vote. Don't be afraid. Enjoy your freedom, while you still have it. There might come a day, when you think twice before emailing a non-political-correct joke to a friend, because it might look bad in your file.
Oh, one more thing: Avoid anyone who uses phrases like "you have nothing to fear, if you have nothing to hide". People like these think privacy and crime are the same thing.
... phew, that was quite a rant. Back to goofy stuff ;)

I've finally found the solution to one of the most hotly discussed topics of our time: Evolution or Intelligent Design. And *dang*, I was wrong: The Intelligent design guys were right (who would have thought - judging by their discussion culture)! You ask, why I am so sure about that? Because, I've found the tool God designed the earth with: It's here: God's world maker. It leaked out and Nintendo found it - and puts it to bad for creating just fantasy worlds (or, wait ... gnaa, I'm real! ?). However it's the real deal, and the guys at Nintendo know that. They tried to hide it, but revealed them-self: right in the middle Intelligent[es] Design. Nice try. And now, I'm gonna get The Tool and tweak the world a little. Expect weird news from your tv!
*muahahaaahaaahha*

Today's depression:
I just noticed, that you actually need to be depressed to appreciate these pictures. Kay, so here is what you should think: You are 16 years old, noone seems to like you, girls laugh at you and your parents are really stressful. Can't remember the feeling? ... hmm ... try listening to: "I'm dying alone" from Blutengel five times. Or whatever works for you.
